Test of VMA warning for Important Public Announcements

On the first (none-holiday) Monday of March, June, September and December at 15:00, the outdoor warning for Important Public Announcements will be tested.

We would like to stress that this is a test.

The outdoor warning system named Hesa Fredrik and the Important Public Announcement signal, is a warning system used in case of accidents, serious events and disruptions to important social functions. It is an important part of Sweden's emergency preparedness plan. The signal is tested four times each year to check that it works.

The tests are conducted at 15:00 on the first non-holiday Monday in March, June, September and December.

The signal sounds continuously for seven seconds, followed by fourteen seconds of silence. The signal test lasts for at least two minutes.
