When you should call 112

112 is Sweden's and the EU's national emergency number. You should call 112 when you or someone else needs urgent help. When you call us, we quickly find out your situation and determine what kind of help you need. This can involve, for example, an ambulance, fire service, police, or mountain and sea rescue.

You should only call 112 when you are in an emergency situation that requires immediate help. Your call could otherwise delay necessary assistance to others who are in urgent need of it. If your call is not urgent, you should instead call the police at 114 14, the medical advisory service at 1177, or the information number for major accidents or crises at 113 13.
