SOS Alarm consists of four business areas

Production

SOS Alarm’s core mission is our governmental 112 assignment. The Production business area offers several services with the state, county councils, municipalities and authorities as assignment providers. Production includes the 112 service, crisis preparedness services, rescue and care services and security, safety and emergency services such as alarm reception, alarm verification and alarm transmission. All assignments aim to produce services for a safer Sweden.

The services within the business area are handled at 15 SOS centres throughout Sweden by approximately 900 employees.

Business

The Business area is responsible for SOS Alarm’s overall offer and that this is value-creating and attractive to customers. The aim is to develop SOS Alarm’s business into sustainable and profitable offers of services with a high customer value that help our customers and collaboration partners to succeed in their undertakings.

IT

SOS Alarm's joint IT department provides services within management, development, support and operation of the company’s IT services. The IT business area contributes to strengthening the IT delivery in all our businesses as well as developing and strengthening SOS Alarm’s innovation capacity, among other things through the development of existing and new IT solutions.

Security

The Security business area has the overall responsibility for the SOS Alarm Group’s security work and crisis preparedness capacity.

Finance & Business Control

The Group function has the overall responsibility for the company’s long-term direction. It is also responsible for ensuring that SOS Alarm carries out businesslike purchases and procurements and that we account for and report what we do in a correct manner.

Communications

The function is responsible for media relations, public affairs, brand-related issues, editorial content in a large number of channels, employee communication, marketing communication and events.

Human Resources

The Group-wide Human Resources (HR) function works to provide the operations with the HR tools and processes to enable and create the conditions for the company to achieve its objectives.

Subsidiaries

YouCall Sverige AB

SOS Alarm operates through the subsidiary YouCall Sverige AB. People, advanced telecommunications and deep integration into the customer’s IT system are three main components of YouCall’s business. YouCall plays an important role in complementing SOS Alarm’s services, not least with regard to the information number 113 13. YouCall Sverige AB is one of the leading contact centre companies in remote phone operations and customer service with customer assignments throughout Sweden. An important part of YouCall’s business is the role towards central government agencies – to coordinate, administer and coordinate assignments of various kinds.

YouCall's basic services:

  • Service Desk: s as a remote operator with full integration into the customer’s switchboard.
  • Helpdesk: Offers customer service to various customers with a high level of integration into the client’s processes.
  • Infodesk: Be the personalised voice and 24-hour helpdesk for municipalities, government agencies and county councils.

SOS Alarms Innovation AB

SOS Alarm Innovation AB shall strengthen and accelerate SOS Alarm’s innovation and development capacity. The goal is to develop new technical and digital safety and security solutions in all SOS Alarm’s areas of operation, both in healthcare and rescue services as well as crisis preparedness, safety and security and emergency services.

Some results of SOS Alarm’s technology and innovation development are the 112 app, a new medical decision support system with AI support, emergency medical drone transports for, among other things, defibrillators, digital keys for easier entry for ambulances and rescue services and a motorbike app that detects an accident using algorithms and sensors.

SOS Alarm sees great opportunities through innovation efforts, such as being able to detect illness and accidents in the future through sensors that sound the alarm. Further potential is found in SOS Alarm’s large amount of data showing how Sweden is doing in real time. Through AI support, SOS Alarm could quickly analyse events and flag a suspected terrorist attack or virus outbreak in an area.
